As an automotive photographer, there aren’t too many opportunities to showcase your work and compete against others in such a niche field. That said, I’m thrilled to share the exciting news that my image, “Mustang GT500 on The Strip”, has won two prestigious awards at the 2024 AUTO PHOTO Awards, a high caliber competition in the automotive photography industry.
Automotive Photography Recognition
This image was selected as a Top 100 finalist, a thrilling feat considering the contest attracted over 1000 entries from 29 countries. But that’s not all – I’m honored that it also won two esteemed awards:
– Duke of Richmond Award: I’m humbly honored that this action image was handpicked for this prestigious award by His Grace Charles Gordon-Lennox, the Duke of Richmond and also Founder of the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed.
– Highly Commended Award: This recognition further validates the hard work and dedication that goes into capturing exceptional automotive photography. It’s a reminder that the attention to detail, creativity, and technical skill that automotive photographers bring to every shoot are essential in creating images that stand out in a visually stunning industry.
Publication and Exhibition Opportunities
As a result of these awards, this image will be published in this year’s coveted AUTO PHOTO book, a collectible photobook featuring the best of automotive photography. Additionally, my work will be printed and displayed as part of a touring exhibition across the UK, showcasing the Top 100 finalists and category winners.
Past exhibit locations have included Ace Café London, Caffeine & Machine, Cambridge University, Great Northern Classics, Motorsport UK HQ at Bicester Heritage and Silverstone Festival. This is an incredible opportunity to share my passion with a wider audience and connect with fellow automotive enthusiasts, art directors and editors.
