This McLaren shot has a story.  After a day of shooting at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, I was walking back to my car and this McLaren was parked right next to me.  I had just got a new light wand for light painting and figured this would be a great car to try it on, given it’s flowing body lines.  I set up the wand on a battery pack and proceeded to light paint the car, as people drove by and a small crowd gathered to watch.  In the end, this image ended up being 12 layered exposures and showed how effective on-location light painting can be to give a studio quality of lighting anywhere.  I also light the fact that this exotic was dusty and driven, like it should be.
